Well sometimes a guy does run free, an athletic QB might still make a play of it, but I don't expect Henne to.

 

The best you could expect from Henne is he knows what he's looking at defensively and makes the correct throw decisively at the depth of his drop, which he didn't do.

 

FBT is obsessed with what happened with the rush on this play, but that's not really relevant. Sure bad QBs get caught up staring at the rush, it's why guys like Henne and Gabbert are so bad.

 

A good QB makes the right throw here, a great QB somehow makes that pocket work, steps up, and hits a guy breaking down the field.

 

Either way Henne is bad, he's the problem, and that's the way the NFL wants it.

 

Get a good QB or be terrible.
