When will Blake Bortles make his first start?

Quote:Throughout the entire offseason, I always believed Henne would last until midseason and thought sitting would be to Bortles benefit. However, after last game, I think he ends up starting on Sunday. Blake's strengths can hide some of the offensive deficiencies. His ability to rollout and move in and around the pocket could really help minimize porous line play. In his limited looks during the preseason, Blake was able to throw receivers open, which is something Chad hasn't been able to do this season. The fact Gus didn't come out and declare Henne the starter for Sunday makes me believe they are seriously considering it and quite frankly I think needs to be done. I agree putting Blake Bortles in now would help the offense, but that will not translate to more touchdown passes without Ace Sanders and Allen Hurns. I will just be happy to see him on the field. |
