But you also minimized the impact by saying it's a problem, then saying the 3 guys who weren't replaced should have been getting used to the QB they were protecting.  That's not how an offensive line develops.  They have to get used to working as a unit regardless of who the QB is.  If you're switching out 2 guys on the line mid-stream, that's a big deal.  Any continuity you were developing just got tossed out the window and you're starting over.

 

In the end, absolutely nothing was hurt by waiting on putting Bortles in.  This team has much bigger issues with the defense than they do even with the anemic offensive production.
