I wouldn't say he's a BAD player. I'd say he's a typical Gene Smith signing. Middle of the road talent, has an obviously weak area in his game, but was paid as if he were an elite, or close to elite, at his position.

 

The "meet the RB in the hole and stop him dead in the power running game" MLB is a dead position. The NFL is different now than it was 15 years ago. Now you need LBs that can cover, and POZ (edit: apparently Poz spelled with an S instead of a Z gets filtered...) just can't do it at a level beyond marginal.
