I don't think much of Paul. He's a decent middle linebacker. But he doesn't really stand-out too much. He's good against the run, and really suspect in pass coverage. He doesn't really have the quickness nor speed either to get after the QB on an inside pass rush. Here is another thing to look at too. It's mostly the inside linebacker's responsibility to make call adjusments and get his guys in the right places at times. He doesn't really strike me as that kind of guy. He comes off a bit too mild mannered for the position really. With that said, if you plugged him inside on a 3 - 4 defense around some more veterans. He's a stout defender to contend with. With so much youth around him here on defense it's got to be hard at times. But I bet if he was in a system like San Francisco, Houston, Pittsburgh, or maybe Green Bay. This guy would be eating up the running game on his own honestly without worrying about everything else around him so much.
