I don't remember many people being excited by Henne either for that matter.  He was never that good in Miami.  He was 'better than Gabbert' for most everyone, and nothing more than that.  Don't forget that many of us were hoping for Geno Smith just to not have to deal with Hennebert anymore.  

 

Alright.  But WHO else should Gene have hired?  This was the whole thing.  We had Blaine Gabbert as our franchise QB.  What coach was turning him into Peyton Manning?  

 

And Here's the thing about Henne.   WHAT DOES HE DO?  HE DOESN'T WIN GAMES.  HE DOESN'T PUT UP NUMBERS.  But why?  Let's be honest.  He has the same crappy supporting cast as Gabbert did (if not better if we're being real).  He does NOTHING with what we got, just like Gabbert did.  Is he better than Gabbert?  How? What is the difference?  

 

He's the same.  QBs are average, UNLESS they can create moments, and if not,  they are like a glass house.   A single crack takes them from near superbowl to a straight up bum.
