Some Positives (It Isn't All Bad)

#5

Quote:Secondary of the future is in place:  The jags coaching and scouting staff have done a fantastic job at rebuilding this secondary.  There is good depth right now.  Will Blackmon, Alan Ball, Mike Harris, and Gratz can all play.  Cyprien and Evans are already making plays and will only get better with time.  As it turns out the Mathis and Cox cuts look pretty good right now

The Oline is improving:  The Jaguars trade their LT who they would not have resigned and it's panning out.  The Jaguars have had their best 2 games since departing with Monroe.  Joeckle goes out and the line does not miss a beat.  Clearly a big need of improvement in the offseason they are playing better.

Blackmon:  I watch how this guy runs with power and just snatches balls out of the air.  This guy is the real deal.  Blackmon in the slot is a dangerous combination.

Henne:  Henne is not the franchise but a big step up from the alternative.  Games should atleast be competitve from this point out and have some moments to cheer.

Poz:  He maybe having his best year as a LB.  For those who have payed attention his coverage skills have improved.  Aside from the pick 6 poz has not been burnt like he was last season.

Marks:  I don't see him as a full time starter but a pass rushing specialist.  He has shown he has the burst to penetrate the backfield and get to the QB.

Sanders:  Been pretty good in the return game.  He has that can break out at anytime quickness.

I think they've done a good job at rebuilding the secondary as it pertains to the short term. But I am not sold on all of these guys in the back 4 as all long term answers. But they are absolutely easily better than the players that we were putting out there weekly last season, no doubt. I will agree with that.
