I think it's better for every player on this team to put his best effort on the field every week. In doing that you find out who can and cannot really play . We are a bad team and will get one of the top selections in the draft. Even if this team got a top 3 pick and ended up picking clowney would that really be bad? We do need a QB but it does not have to be in the 1st round.

Do you deny that the premise behind the NFL's draft order rules is that providing the weakest teams the greatest access to the available talent pool is the quickest way to make them competitive? If you do, why do you think the rules establishing draft order are the way they are? How does your alternate theory comport with the concepts of competitive balance and parity?
