Well, we seem to have worked our way down from shooting him, to discussing whether he is doing something "inappropriate."   Sanity is slowly returning. 

 

You ask a good question.   I don't know if he's promoting discontent, and I'm not sure whether it would be appropriate or not.   I don't think it would be illegal. 

 

That said, I think every attorney general has the same problem- they lack independence.  They are too loyal to the President who appoints them, and who is usually a long time friend.  Griffin Bell, Ed Meese, Bobby Kennedy.   The Attorney General almost never has any real independence, so asking him to investigate his own administration is usually pointless.   And by the time his term is up, his political opponents want to put him in jail. almost ALWAYS.
