Rich Rod sucked at Michigan. Michigan didn't hire Rich Rod's defensive coordinator (Casteel), so Rich Rod decided to completely neglect that side of the ball.
For some perspective, here is how Hoke and Rich Rod did in their first three years with Michigan: Rich Rod: 3-9 (2-6 in conference) Rich Rod: 5-7 (1-7 in conference) Rich Rod: 7-6 (3-5 in conference Hoke: 11-2 (6-2 in conference) Hoke: 8-5 (6-2 in conference) Hoke: 7-6 (3-5 in conference) In 2010, you would have been on here laughing at Michigan for taking so long to fire Rich Rod because of the dumpster fire Michigan was in. Hindsight is 20/20. |
