After a 3rd bad season (7-6, 3-5 in conference), following two absolutely terrible seasons, Rich Rod's time was up. You keep saying that he was getting better each season, but so? Rich Rod's first season, he led Michigan to it's lowest win total since 1963. Of course the following year was going to be better.

 

In 3 season,s 15-23 (6-18) is not going to cut it. Especially so when you are get absolutely dogwalked by your Rival (37 to 7) and embarrassed in your bowl game (52 to 14) in year 3.

 

 

How old are you? 15? I'd expect anyone older than that to remember how 95%+ of the NCAA Football world was saying Michigan had to fire Rich Rod. It's not like Michigan was unjustified in cutting ties with Rich Rod.

 

really? an age jab? pretty impressive argument.

 

no one said you or anyone was defending hoke. my point is, rich rod took that team over after lloyd carr left, he overhauled the way the team played offense completely. he had to bring in a whole new crop of players to fit his team. growing pains should have been expected. yeah the team was very bad the first year, he showed steady improvement which you could only assume would have continued to be the trend. if he was given ample time to fully imbed his system with players that fit it, i think michigan would be much much better right now.

 

and who cares what 95% of people say. just because something is popular opinion, doesnt make it right.
