You can't start getting all exotic and creative within any kind of scheme if all 11 guys don't have the basics down. Clearly, our boys do not have the basics down...but today was a pretty substantial step in the right direction imo. This young team simply hasn't been able to put it all together yet and I personally don't see it happening until the bye...just like last season. Once we see the offense we saw last week in SD playing alongside a defensive effort more like the one today, is when we might see a win or two.
