Well, calling plays is something entirely different than teaching players.  And acquiring players is the issue.  So, yes, if the head coach is tasked with player acquisition and the roster is horrible, then yes, the coach is to blame  And someone with an inability to teach players is not going to make it to the NFL head coaching level.  Sorry, just not buying it..  

 

So, to be clear, I don't see Bradley as blameless for the situation the team is in.  Some will argue player acquisition is solely up to Caldwell, but I'd counter by saying it's not likely Dave operates independently.  He's certain to listen to Bradley on matters concerning potential players.
