I think Bortles utilizing the whole field more only HELPS him succeed faster not hurts that chance. The entire defense is playing in the 10 yard box these past 6 quarters because they know Bortles is not utilizing the whole field of late and mostly passing short.

 

As said, The Colts developed Luck and Manning by having them "let it fly". Not by putting the shackles on them.

 

Bortles is going to throw a lot of INT's as a rookie. Let him do it and learn.
