Luck and Manning were allowed to let it fly and throw a LOT of INT's their rookie years.... I think Manning threw 28. 

 

Because of that approach by their 3rd years they wound up much ahead of the game. 

 

You think that treating a QB like a game manager with a bib is the way to go and it isn't. All that does is stunt a QB's growth.
