Passes defended is one of the most important defense statistics as it shows the competency of your secondary, we simply don't have guys in our secondary (specifically at CB) that are of breaking on the ball. I know the offensive line is a problem but the secondary might be a bigger issue, if this team plans on competing in 2015 it will need to find players that are capable of getting their hands on the ball. The teams that are in the top half of the league in passes defended usually make the playoffs.
