For a lot of people, sure.  But even after Alaulu, there were people saying that Gene knew what he was doing.  In fact even after we drafted a punter in the third, there were people saying that we really needed a punter, because the punter lost us a few games the year before.  


I remember people saying "Well we traded our 4th to get Blackmon, so it really wasn't a 3rd round pick, it was a 4th.  And we took a punter in the 4th before."


Gene is still a touchy subject for some of us. I think he will be until either this team is competing, or a rival picks him up as their GM.  Which I really hope happens.  Would love to see him as the new Tacks GM.
