You're also naive if you think we should not be actively engaged in stopping the spread of Ebola in Africa. I know you're a strict isolationist, but we live in a global economy. That virus has a fertile feeding ground in under developed countries, and even in more modern countries, that are important to our national interest.

 

I'm not sure how I'm skewing the discussion, that's not my intention. Your point as I read it was that we had to be proactive and study Ebola here because it was coming one way or another.

 

I disagree, Ebola didn't show any signs of coming here until we started accepting flights back in from West Africa, that was the only way Ebola was making it over here. My evidence is how the virus has spread every where else, only with direct contact to West Africa.

 

My isolationist views are more in regards to military interventions, I'm not against helping the third world. I am against bringing their problems over here.
