***OFFICIAL Jaguars Vs. Chargers Second Half Thread***

Quote:Reference the time out call.  Is there any reason in this day and age we rely on red flags for challenges and hearing a coach yell time out in a noisy stadium (or looking back up field when the offense is trying to run a play to see if someone if holding his hands in a T formation)?

Coaches (either the head guy or someone shadowing him) should have a button(s) in his hand that signals challenge/timeout on the scoreboard/screens.

Use the flags and hand signals if system breaks.

The first year the current replay system was used, coaches did have buttons. Jeff Fisher's challenge buzzer did not work during the playoffs, so even though Tennessee did win the challenge, they were charged with a timeout because he did not have a red flag. That spelled the end of buzzers to challenge plays.

ABOUT US
The Jungle Forums is the Jaguars' biggest fan message board. Talking about the Jags since 2006, the Jungle was the team-endorsed home of all things Jaguars.

Since 2017, the Jungle is now independent of the team but still run by the same crew. We are here to support and discuss all things Jaguars and all things Duval!
