It was less about me not being a "fan" of Teddy's and just looking inside his own conference at Bortles and seeing Bortles have as much or more success, statistically.

 

I remember using the SEC game that both AAC guys played. Teddy VS Kentucky and Bortles VS Scar (IIRC)

I said... why is Teddy #1 overall and Bortles is a "mid round" or "bust" by so many?

 

People laughed when I said Bortles could have as good or better a career in the NFL as Teddy, and likely be had later (again, this conversation was before combines and before bowl games)

 

While I obviously am not a scout, so I didn't know where guys would actually be picked... I was anti picking Teddy high. And pro picking Bortles later.

After the bowl games and combines, I was pretty much the same but thought Bortles could rise, maybe we could trade back and get him.

 

Funny thing is... I believe I wanted Manziel, Bortles, and Carr, all before Teddy.

I still stand by that.

Well... except Manziel. After the initial "wow" wore off with Manziel... I didn't want him and his attitude, at all.
