If you go read through the stories about the autograph dealers, they also found large numbers of Mariota items, Clowney items from a year ago, and most of the other big names. Whether they're all getting paid or there is some kind of wink-wink-nudge-nudge deal the top guys have in place that is technically legal, Winston shouldn't be getting any more flak than the others.

 

There would have to be two SEC teams get in to keep FSU out with one loss. The only way I see that happening is if UGA beats an undefeated team from the West in the championship game AND the game is really close AND the committee views the SEC West as really a separate conference from the SEC East AND the right team wins the BIG 12 AND the right team wins the PAC 12. Pretty darn unlikely.

Also, I thought the play calling at the end by Jimbo was terrible. Jameis was on fire and he took the ball out of the best players hands. He then depended on our defense which isn't that good and we very easily could have lost.

 

I thought they should have lined up in the shotgun and run some kind of screen on first down. They hadn't run hardly any screens that game and you knew Notre Dame would be coming full bore on the 6. The right kind of screen is a virtually guaranteed completion, would stay in bounds, and shouldn't be a risk for a big loss. WR tunnel screen or TE screen come to mind.
