Quote:I meant calm down about people thinking how good we are just because of one win. By all means celebrate but like Gus said, one day of celebrating. Even after that win we're 1-6 not really much to celebrate as of yet, accept mediocrity and that's what you'll get. Despite beating the Browns by 18, there hasn't been a single post that's claimed we'll make the post-season or the Super Bowl. There's been less than a handful claiming we'll even finish upwards of 6 wins, and most of those have been tongue-in-cheek. It's called being happy that there are tangible signs of progress, that the faith of the fans and the effort of the players has paid off, if only for one week. It's called taking joy where you can find it because who (apart from a select few on this board) wants to spend all of their time being negative, oops I mean "keeping it real"? And who said being happy with one win is ACCEPTING mediocrity? This one of the most absurd and oft-repeated statements on this board. Who said "welp, we got 1 win. That's good enough for me."?? So unless you're rocking that Bill Gates pay check, you must be accepting mediocrity right? If you're not even clearing $500k/year, if you're not on that $10k/day CEO time, you've already accepted mediocrity. Do you see how absurd that sounds?
“It just shows what kind of team we are. We’re a tough team. We like contact. We’re very physical. We want the issue to be brought to us so we can show people we can stand up to it and overcome it. Seeing that’s just a symbol of our team and who we are.” - Jaguars DT Malik Jackson
