I got to give Caldwell some credit on the MJD release

Quote:So I guess no one gets in again? Barry Sanders was a Jaguar? When did that occur? Look, I'm a huge fan of MJD. I'm not one of the posters that got in a twist with his hold out and other things he did and said. I was advocating we keep him and not let him go as a free agent. But with that said, if you look at MJD objectively, he was a very good to elite RB, but I just don't think he transcended the position in the same way Freddy did for a sustained period of time. MJD had maybe 2 or 3 elite seasons, the rest were good to very good before his wheels fell off a few years back... It's just not enough to get him into the Pride. If he sustained his dominance for a bit longer, I think he'd have a stronger case. |
