I hate the idea of leaving early, and if I could I would stay to the end of a 50 point blowout. If the only thing at stake is "beating traffic", I'd definitely stay. Trying to beat traffic when there's a slight shot at a comeback is even worse. Reminds me of the Finals a couple years ago when Heat fans were leaving the game before a miraculous comeback, then wouldn't be let back in. They deserved it for leaving, if it was just to beat traffic or because their team was losing. 

 

But like you said there are circumstances when some need to leave early; I was at the game today and was actually hoping for a blowout or early decision that would leave me some time in the 4th quarter. I had taken a bus that was scheduled to leave precisely 30 minutes after the game ended, and it was parked all the way over in lot W, which I wasn't even sure I could find. Didn't want to risk hitchhiking all the way home to Orlando, lol. I ended up leaving with around 6 minutes to go with the last play I saw being Miller taking the ball inside the 10.

 

Really wanted to stay, and it's a pity I missed the Jags only TD of the day at the end. I felt bad.
