I like the improvement from the defense over all.
Special teams have been terrible outside of kickoff returns. Offense is showing some bright spots, but so far Bortles has not been one. I agree with Bullseye that they were protecting him in the first half and doing their "play within 5 yards of the line of scrimmage" thing, and that isn't going to work. His 4/5 near picks do help explain their reasoning, but he's not going to improve by avoiding throwing. He's going to need to work through it, or not, by doing. I'm trying to not let his decision making and poor throws worry me, because I know rookies do these things. But man, it's not easy while watching these throws. |
