I agree with you.  I like Caldwell a heck of a lot better than any coach on this team.  I think he's done a lot with what he's had time to do.  He's brought in talent through all three phases.  Drafting, free agency and UDFA.  He hasn't been perfect or anything close but I see talent littered across this roster and I'm afraid it's going to be wasted and/or under-developed with the staff we have.  Allen Robinson, Denard Robinson, Abry Jones, Red Bryant, Chris Clemons, Allen Hurns, Brandon Linder, Luke Bowanko, Telvin Smith, Joeckel (I don't think he's been as good as he should be but I think he still has the capability of getting there), Cyprien, Marks, etc are all guys I can see being pieces of the future puzzle.  Guys who were brought in through various means.  

 

Coaching is and has been a problem.

 

Hiring inexperienced (at their NFL positions) coaches wasn't a good idea in my opinion.  Rookie HC is fine.  But experience elsewhere is needed, particularly with the OC when your rookie HC is a defensive minded guy.
