Other drugs are abused for a variety of reasons. Often people start to use them for a medical purpose and that somehow leads to abuse. Brett Favre did that years ago. When I was prescribed Vicodin because Advil is not strong enough, the doctor was only allowed to order a few pills (I think 12) with no refills because of people like Brett. So I am not too worried about people abusing opiates because prescriptions for them already are tightly controlled.
