How bad was blake really?

Quote:Exactly. We need to stop with the Peyton comparisons. "Well Peyton almost threw some picks..." Yeah, well Peyton also throws over 50 TDs and 5000 yds with VERY few picks. No more Petyon comparisons. We have a rookie who is playing poorly and is an unknown at this time. Yes, it appears he has a good upside, but it's not a guarantee. Kid simply needs to play better. As said in a previous response to you - I agree that the Peyton comparisons are poor right now because Peyton also threw a lot of TD's his rookie year, but I have to disagree in that Peyton didn't throw a lot of picks. It took Peyton years before his INT number settled down to the perennially low INT numbers we see now. For Peyton's first bunch of years in the pro's he was prone to the INT. Again, but he put up so many TD numbers it didn't matter. Some of the people seem to be making too much of the INT. I mean, what do you want? - a game manager thats afraid to take chances??? The only issue with Blake right now is the TD percentage needs to go up. Look at many of the great QB over the past several decades, they all were prone to the INT at times, i,e. Favre, Manning, Manning, Bradshaw, Marino, Namath, Elway, Luck, and so on.... Brady and Aaron Rodgers are pretty much the outliers in that they throw a lot of TD and don't throw a lot of INT's. As said, gimme a QB like Blake who is willing to take chances over any game manager, conservative type anyday. The QB who is afraid/ unwilling to make that risky throw most likely isn't going to be going far in the playoffs in this league. We show less advertisements to registered users.
