Nor was that ever the intention, as I've pointed out. Now if you want to have a conversation about why a democracy would be better and that we should change from a republic to a democracy let's have that conversation. But don't sit there and try and sell it as we've always been a democracy and to suggest otherwise is wrong.

You act as if you just learned that we have a representative form of government. Congratulations! A few of us have been aware of that for a while.

 

I guess we're never allowed to speak of democracy or Professor Eric will admonish us.

 

Now - go back to you efforts to convince others that we'd be better of if only elites had a voice in the affairs of our country.
