Athletes do dig deeper and it's not just in a David and Goliath type game. You could have two giants going at it, or #'s 120 and #121 slugging it out. Come fourth quarter, or a crucial third down in the 2nd quarter you have guys who "dig a little deeper" to get the job done.

 

That, again, is a common occurence in many, many, many football games. This is n't unique.
