It's always the same excuses, followed by the same result.  He's clubbing at the beaches?  Anyone see him drink?  No big deal.  Wrecked his car at 3 am?  Just coming home from out of town, no alcohol, no drugs?  No big deal.

 

Bad things just keep "randomly happening" to a guy so dedicated to putting things back together.

 

Right.  Got it.  Must have been on church mission handing out sobriety cards to the heathens and miscreants.

 

Just like the other times he's been spotted in questionable circumstances.

 

I wish him the best.  But this is not him doing his best.

Perfectly stated! Except for the fact that people can and do change their behavior...ASSUMING that simply going to a casino is a precursor to going on an binge is narrow minded thinking...Perhaps, maybe, just maybe, he's doing well and can live a normal life without having to try to avoid places simply because it looks bad for him to be there, but that would be too much for some people to understand...

 

It's always easier to assume people are going to screw up than it is to wait and see if they do well...Believe it or not, some people DO learn how to deal with their vices and live a normal life...

 

Judging a person by their history is not always what the future holds... I can see your point, don't get me wrong, however, I am an advocate of waiting for someone to do wrong. before I start screaming that they are screwing up...
