  RJ,   I recall the missed tackle you are referring to.     That was basically the only tackle Rashean missed in 3 games.      Even with the long TD he would have given up if CB Aldrick Robinson would have been able to complete the TD reception process and the highly questionable personal foul on Rashean late in today's game,   he's exceeded my expectations early in the season on the field.   This doesn't even factor in Rashean's tremendous intangibles.    Of all of the Jaguars players that ended up with the Lions in the last few seasons,    Rashean Mathis is making the greatest positive difference for the Lions.     It's possible age will catch up to him over the course of the long season.    Especially if Rashean Mathis is needed as an every down player.     But for now,   he's a much more reliable option at RCB than 2nd Round rookie CB Darius Slay.    The latter has great ability but is going through major growing pains.
