So-called 'clean' energy is twice the cost or more vs. fossil fuels. Besides the direct cost, there will be a hit on the economy in general if electricity gets more expensive, as that takes money out of circulation. Did you really think that replacing the current power plants with (say) windmills was going to be cheap?
