You Can Argue With a Lot of things but Not the Fact the Jags are the Most Physical Team in the League

Sundays loss to the Chargers was clearly disappointing, but really not that big of a deal. Losses to teams not in our division really don't hurt us at this point, and we were once again victimized by shoddy officiating. Were just not going to win playing 11 on 17.
The one realization that hit me hard (I have statistical data to back this up) that was encouraging is that we have clearly established ourselves as the most physical football team in the league. For example, in week one, the Chiefs score 28 against us but are so banged up that they only score 17 vs. the Cowboys the following week. In Week two, the Jags play Oakland, and Oakland gets destroyed by Denver the next weekend. In week three, we play Seattle, and the following week, Seattle barely squeaks out a win vs. the Houston Texans - the hapless Houston Texans. In Week Four, the Jags play Indy and what happens next the next weekend...you guessed it - Indy squeaks out a win over the same Seattle crew who barely beat the hapless Texans. But wait, it gets weirder, fast forward to two weeks ago - the Jags play Denver and you guessed it - an exhausted Peyton Manning gets popped by the same Indy team that barely beat Seattle who of course is the team who barely beat the hapless and terrible Texans. Lucky for San Diego, they have a bye this week, otherwise, they would undoubtedly lost this week. You can argue with a lot of things, but not the fact that the Jags are just [BAD WORD REMOVED] pounding teams into submission - opponents can barely field a team the next week much less compete! I realize that wins and losses are pretty important - but the fact that Coach Bradley is teaching physicality in this first year is so very, very important for our long term future. I am truly hoping that this trip overseas allows us to clear our heads and come back focused. I thought for sure we would be no worse than 6-1 at this point, but could have settled for 5-2 - assuming those losses were in the meaningless non division contests. Bottom line is, a loss this week knocks us out of play off contention - which would be too bad after how promising things looked in the preseason. The main key to the Jags winning this season will be remaining focused and not getting caught up or distracted in the pagentry and tradition of London, which if you didn't know by now is the capitol of the United Kingdom. If I am the Jags coaching staff I am giving a Knute Rockneesque or Jack Del Rio like pre game speech, pounding my fist on the floor, and loudly proclaiming the following: " As Jaguars we don't care about the king or the queen, or William and Kate - and the best kicker to ever set foot in London is not David Beckham, rather, our own Josh Scobee. We don't care about the Beatles and we don't care about the Tour De France. We don't care about Manchester United, we don't care that their drivers steering wheel is on on the wrong side of the car and that people drive down the wrong side of the road - although I hope for our players safety, our bus driver is aware of this. We don't care about the Sistine Chapel, and we don't care about hot tea - all we care about about beating the niners - that's it. This is a business trip - now lets go get a win and turn this thing around." I am envisioning players busting down the doors and us just going out and kicking the 49ers!!!
