Firstly, I think BB is the kind of player who will work to get where he needs to be regardless of the situation.


As far as our staff goes, I look at it like this... last year around this time, people wanted Babich fired and were questioning Gus because the defense, with a completely new secondary and scheme, wasn't living up to what we wanted.


We waited a year and now have one of the best defenses in the NFL, certainly in the AFC. I would say we have the best defense in the AFC south, hands down. And why such drastic improvement? The young players grew in the system and we had patience.


This year it's almost the exact same story with the offense. We have ten new starters (basically 11 because Cecil gets injured a lot), all either rookies, second year guys, or Beadles. We are reinventing the offense to match Blake's strengths but the going is slow because of the aforementioned youth. These interceptions everybody freaks out about are the same thing as all the explosive plays our defense gave up last year (and has since limited), that being young players still learning their assignments.


I think if we have patience, This offense will bloom just like the defense. We have too much young talent not to.


But to answer your question, yes. I think they are what he needs. If I have any doubts it's with Fisch loving the screen, but once again we have to remember how young this offense is, and stay patient. My two cents, at least.
