Henne To Start in London, Gabbert to Back up
|
Quote:Not that we need to delve into this anymore but its clear now that Henne is better than Gabbert. They just threw Gabbert out there the first couple games to see if he had made progress... he didn't (obviously we all knew that).. now that Gabbert is healthy, they are going with the better QB. Simple elementary by dear Watson.I don't see a difference. Only thing is Henne isn't worried about earning a starting job because he wasn't competing for one. It was just a question of whether Gabbert would implode or if he'd get better. He imploded and Henne is the benefactor. We're talking about the difference between two guys who have thrown 7 and 5 INTs this season each and both have been repeatedly blown out. Henne's signature game is an effort against the 29th ranked that ended up with 12 points from the offense. Calling him better is wrong, it implies there's any level of quality for either of them. They're both equally miserable, they just manifest it in different ways. Henne shows it by throwin repeated checkdowns and into guys arms and then INTs when the pressue starts to get higher. Gabbert shows it by being inconsistent and unable to stay in the pocket after the first time he gets hit or throws an INT. |
