And I do think the example makes sense. The Duke players were suspended, expelled (I believe), and had the 2006 season cancelled. Those players were punished because a stripper with a history of false accusations, who was loaded with illegal drugs, accused players of rape. Using badger's logic, the players were rightfully punished. I disagree.

 

This doesn't just happen in sports though....its happens in entertainment, the work place, and many other community settings.  People/institutions have to cover themselves now.

 

My example....Bill Cosby has been accused by 6 women (last I heard) of doing bad things.  NBC and Netflix have stopped their projects with him because they don't want to tarnish their brand.  Can you blame them?

 

Edit:  I get your point and agree with it to a large extent...its just the way it is now.  The Ray Rice thing has pretty much changed everything.
