You're missing the point.. there's always a chance that our 1st round QB doesn't work out.. do we really want to take such a big chance with just 1 QB?

I can only think of two teams to have done that, Washington with RG3 and Cousins and Green bay with Brian Brohm and Matt Flynn.

I much rather get your guy, sign and vet backup and let them compete with Henne and Matt Scott, dump Gabbert, it will be only 2 QBs most likely on the roaster, I much rather have a vet and the rookie.

Use the other picks to load up on other positions that get on the field more often.

We are a team that has only drafted 2 QBs in the last 15 years I doubt we will start drafting 2 in a year.

And we've not once drafted an elite QB, at some point we need to up our chances.
