And Caldwell could have used the Joeckel pick on a different player. Trading down to the middle of the 1st and getting Reid, Jarvis Jones, or one of the DTs plus extra picks was a possibility. It was a weak draft and Joeckel wasn't the worst 1st rounder, but Caldwell could have done better by trading down. Don't claim that it's impossible to trade down, Miami jumped up to the very next pick trading picks 12 & 42. In 2013: Keep Monroe. Sign Andre Smith as a free agent. Trade down to the middle of round 1. End up with two solid OTs and a building block on defense. "Why should I give information to you when all you want to do is find something wrong with it?" |
