Quote:I said at the time that I understood why Henne was starting the season and I think he probably should have continue to start for a longer period then he did (we couldn't be much worse) but that I also agreed it was probably quicker to expose Bortles to the fire and have him go through his rookie struggles.  I predicted that many of the people who where so much in favor of him starting would turn on him quick and call him a bust after he'd thrown a few INTs.  As usual, I was right.  With that said, I think getting Bortles in there early will pay dividends in the long run.  The guy shows signs of being an elite QB.  He is shell shocked right now as I expected but he'll over come that.  I have another prediction that I have no doubt will come true but will probably not make people happy.  He's not going to turn into Manning in his second year either.  He'll improve but he'll slowly start to clean up the mistakes and become a "game manager" before he becomes a truly productive quarterback.  I think somewhere in the 3rd year we'll really start to see what he really will be.
