its one way or the other. the rankings dont matter and you and i both know that those SEC wins that alabama and miss st have are way more impressive than florida state barely beating ACC scrubs.

 

I love that logic. "This team is low because of their record because the SEC beats up on each other. If they were in the ACC they'd be running the conference easily because they're an SEC team."

 

And since the committee said they look at rankings at the time the games were played, we beat the #5 team in the country.
