He improved. He wasn't a finished product, but he showed signs of improvement and they stuck with him.


I think it's reasonable to NOT give someone year 3 if they're just not cutting it in year 2.

I can understand your point but then I say what about Eli Manning. He sucked well into his fourth year. It wasn't until about half way through the fourth year that it started to click. It clicked so well for him they went on to win the super bowl and has been an good player until recently.


Nonetheless he has 2 Superbowl championships under his belt and I'd take the bad Eli now if he gave me two rings prior to his performance now.


This thing is you just dont know. No one does. Yeah we could tell Derrick Harvey was gonna be trash very quickly but instanced like Tyron Smith are why you wait.


Tyron was seen as a bust when he got drafted in 2011. Three years later he is the anchor on that Dallas o-line.
