UAB Shutting Down Football Program

I feel bad for the coaches, the players and the fans.
Unfortunately, the UAB program has been getting the shaft for a while now. The Tuscaloosa good ol' boy network (led by Bear Bryant's son) has been holding the UAB program back for years. They tried to hire Jimbo Fisher as their head coach eight years ago and the move was blocked by Bryant Jr and the board of trustees. http://www.cbssports.com/collegefootball/story/9891201 Here is another interesting story that came out recently about it.
