I never had a hard opinion for or against BB one way or the other.  One fact was certain and that was that Henne was not the future.  So, I think there is benefit to BB playing this season.

 

I also have noticed more in recent games and predominantly Sunday that BB's mechanics have regressed.  I noticed the somewhat longer windup and thought it may be reason for more batted balls.  I understand this will be worked on in the off season but thought it's worthy discussion for a message board about the Jaguars.

Okay thank you for actually responding in reference to what I said football wise. I'm personally am happy with him staring now. Everyone knows that Henne was never the future. With that said once Blake started I had a understanding that this season would just get harder. He wasn't ready and although he is the future, he still has a long way to go. He is a raw rookie so his mechanics just aren't there yet. That's what raw means. I think the main reason for regression is the line play is just bad right now.

 

Getting sacked 7 times in a game is not helping his development and this was something I was afraid of regardless of what qb we drafted. He is asked to do so much and I think that is another reason for his mechanics regressing. He can't focus on himself because he has to make sure so many other guys are lined up right. There are so many rookies out there with him. He really doesn't have much help out there right now.
