Is it harder to game-plan for the Packers?  Hell yes.  Do they phone it in for the Jaguars?  No. Does he feel confident? Of course he does.  Will he do his due diligence?  If he's not a complete heel he will. 

Especially when your predecessor just got swept by this team and consequently fired.  

 

 If the man were giving lip service - why would he bother to actually say the words "this isn't coach-speak."  LOL.   He'd have to be a bit "off his rocker" to feel the need to go to that length of "lip-service." 

 

NYC, you seem like a fairly astute guy, so I'll assume that I wasn't clear in my point.

 

I don't expect that he's "overlooking" the Jaguars, I just expect that he likely believes a simple and straightforward game plan is enough to beat the Jaguars. I also believe he fully expects his team to win regardless of almost anything that could happen, because he's likely looking at how the Giants took the lead then proceeded to lose the game and understanding clearly how he can keep such a thing from happening to the texans.

 

And I believe everything any coach ever says is coach speak. Nothing these guys say is anything but the same thing you'll hear every week, and I feel quite sure that his appraisal of the Jaguars as the team currently is wouldn't be nearly as glowing as he professes when put behind a microphone.
