I called his name a month ago when nobody knew him.

 

First, it's a perfect hire. He took Fresno St. out of the hole and got noticed by Saban who hired him as OC when his offense was dismal. He took his offense to the championship and walked into a lousy Colorado State job then turned that program into this 9-1 season.

 

Second, his contract buyout is negotiable. I know the media reports it would cost $7 million but that's not true.

 

Third, you're not going to get a guy like Bob Stoops who has it made where he's at. Why would he want to take over a down program when he's sitting on one of the best in the country now. I know all the Gator faithful thinks the UF job is so much more than what it is but nationally it's just equal to programs like Oklahoma, Texas, Ohio State, USC, et. al.

 

Fourth, the best candidate is one who is moving up in stature with proven abilities. If he's run a good, clean program at Colorado St then he would be a good candidate, much like Urban was from Utah.
