Brian Billick's Report Card - Jags/giants
|
Quote:This is what happened last year. Everyone gets all excited. Our record is currently worse than last year. Great win, but just take it down a notch. It's not the same team as last year... Bortles, ARob, Lee, Hurns, Lindner, Bowanko, McCray, Smith, Colvin, Clemons, Bryant. All are new Jags this year and are starters or major contributors, and mostly rookies. It's not enough yet to say we're ready or that we've finally turned the corner, but the progress is real and we do have talent. Two drafts in with a third on the way and a second off season coming up for some of the rookies, I think we may start to see something more and it has nothing to do with how last year ended; the only real similarity there is that the Jags do not quit--they play hard. |
