By your own standard, you want a team competing for a title within 4-5 years of a rebuild.  We're still in the midst of year 2 of a 3 year process.  Maybe you should practice a little patience.

What else is Caldwell going to say? "I sucked really bad in the last draft, this team's record is partially my fault, but I am learning on the fly here folks, so cut me some slack"

I don't think he would ever say that even if it was the truth.

Of course he is going to say "these struggles were expected, but boy when that corner is turned, it's happening quick" (buy those tickets NOW!)
