In Gus I trust, or as Marks said "We got a good one"

Quote:Oh you can pay attention. As long as you can see past the record. Next year, no one should have to. See past the record, huh? See past the record and what you see on the field and just have faith it'll all work out? I guess that's as good a reason as any that we are gonna have a great year in 2015. But your wishfull thinking is not very enlightening to reasonable and rational fans.... The "haters" are actually providing sound critiques of why we we stink, and some of those critiques don't get better by keeping the status quo. Specifically on offense. Of course, I could be wrong with my analysis, but at least I'm providing a basis for why I think the way I do. But, whatever helps one stay positive, I guess is really all that matters. Having faith that it will get better is just as good as thinking critically about what needs to happen to make things better in terms of coping with this horrible season. Both are mechanisms for coping with the reality around you. I just think it allows for better discussion of football if one at least tries to use some reasoning... "It's gonna get better, I have no doubt" really is the end of any conversation. Faith is boring and provides no room for debate, which is the antithesis of what I think a message board is all about. But then again, if you find comfort coming to the Jungle to show that you have faith things will turn around, without really thinking that an explanation is necessary, that's also your prerogative. I don't know, I'd just like to know the reasoning why some thing that things will automatically get better.... Yes the D is getting better, but D's don't win games in today's NFL. The offense has to score points consitently to win. How does the offense magically get drastically better by 2015, in your opinion? |
