Yes, I'm looking at their existing & potential salaries as well. Pasztor ($570k) as a backup that can serve as a starter if someone is injured. If we looking at our Free Agents as potential starters then let them all go.
We made a few mistakes years ago with cutting backups and it destroyed the cohesiveness that the team needs to communicate on the OLine and in the Secondary. Heck, I remember Gene Smith cutting our 2 starting safeties 3 days before the Jags played the Titans on MNF. I think our team was 3-4 at that time ..... we then went into the tank !! |
